Favorite Chair is an original cinematic music experience created by Cling Julian as part of the Runtime Experiences collection.

This immersive runtime follows a man in his seventies who pauses to reflect on life, family, health, aging, and the truths that emerge when illusions begin to fade. Looking back from the quiet comfort of his favorite chair, he discovers that strength, dignity, and freedom are not found in being rescued by others, but in taking responsibility for oneself and continuing to move forward.

Set against a backdrop of warm sunlight, quiet mornings, worn guitars, reading glasses, peaceful rooms, and the calm wisdom that comes from experience, the experience blends acoustic storytelling, emotional reflection, Americana influences, and visual symbolism into a journey where acceptance becomes empowerment and age becomes a source of perspective rather than limitation.

The title “Favorite Chair” serves as the central metaphor of the story — a place of reflection, honesty, memory, and wisdom. The song explores the tension between dependence and independence, the passage of time, the value of health, the importance of lifelong learning, and the quiet strength required to keep living with purpose.
